UPDATE 7 - PHYSICS IMPROVEMENTS!

In Update 7, we focused mainly on further improvements to physics, object interactions, the save system, and bugs that could block progression.

Physics and Interactions - The main focus here was object weight and physics. We significantly reduced situations where furniture could jump around, move unexpectedly, or tip over on its own.

  • Fixed objects that could sometimes stick too strongly to walls, making them difficult to remove
  • Curtains removed from a curtain rod can now be placed back into the same slot
  • Improved the behavior of assembled furniture and other objects that could sometimes move on their own
  • Reduced situations where a moving object could suddenly fly across the room after colliding with the player
  • Lightweight objects held by the player should no longer move much heavier furniture so easily
  • Improved collisions for held objects after passing through doors

Save System

  • The save menu now shows how many manual save slots are still available
  • Improved manual saves created in place of an autosave
  • Fixed an issue where loading the same save again could result in an infinite loading screen
  • In Mounting, the cabinet should no longer slowly fall over after loading the game
  • In Broken balcony, the tile glue next to the sink should now keep the correct proportions after loading a save
  • Screws removed from the player’s house should no longer reappear after loading the game

Missions and Progression

  • Fixed an issue in Child's play that could prevent the swing from being installed
  • In Cheap car repair, the back window can now be installed correctly, and the missing pieces of broken glass have been restored
  • Fixed several situations where the pawn shop would fail to open
  • Zbyszek should now appear correctly by the news pole
  • The pawn shop should no longer remain closed after finishing the game
  • Improved dialogues - if one dialogue started immediately after another, the first line could sometimes fail to appear
  • Improved cutscene skipping - holding space during one cutscene should no longer affect the next one

Graphics, Settings and Stability

  • Fixed a black screen during the first cutscene when returning to the main menu after playing and then starting a new game
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the game to get stuck during shader compilation on startup
  • Improved the message asking the player to restart the game after changing certain settings
  • Improved the appearance and placement of the controls list
  • Fixed speaker labels in dialogues in the Arabic localization
