UPDATE 6 - SAVE SYSTEM AND NEW LANGUAGES

🌍 NEW LANGUAGES!

We’ve added two new languages to Low-Budget Repairs:

  • Arabic
  • Georgian

The game is now available to even more players around the world.

We’ve also added another batch of improvements to existing translations and localization.

Save System Improvements

In this update, our biggest focus was the save system. We fixed a large number of issues that could appear after loading a save.

From now on, saving and loading should work much more reliably and consistently, including during missions.

We fixed situations where, after loading:

  • purchased or placed items could disappear
  • the car trunk could be emptied
  • installed objects could return to an earlier state
  • cables and fuses could reset or become blocked
  • completed objectives could stop being counted
  • parts of installed windows could disappear
  • saving while assembling or repairing an object could break progression
  • dialogues or mission stages could trigger again at the wrong time
  • breakable items could reappear or load already broken
  • saving at certain moments during missions could completely block further progression

These fixes apply to missions including One More Time, Window to the World, A Small Favor, Dirty Business, Sentenced to Work, Righty-Tighty, Materials, Nephew’s Work, and Reward.

Missions and Progression

  • Fixed more cases where doing something earlier than the game expected could block a mission
  • Fixed objectives related to unscrewing and removing fuses
  • Changed the way side quests are selected
  • Fixed the “New side jobs are available” message appearing randomly
  • Added more protection against getting stuck outside the map or in the environment
  • Fixed an infinite loading screen when traveling to the prison
  • Fixed a case where saving after receiving the lockpick from Zbyszek could block further progression
  • Fixed a blocker in Reward
  • Fixed a specific blocker in One More Time where the fuse-related stage could fail to appear

Mechanics and Interactions

  • Fixed places where using the tape measure or leveler could later block drilling, painting, and other interactions
  • Improved inserting and removing fuses
  • Improved masking tape, including its minimum length and how its ends behave
  • Fixed cases where wood paneling could disappear while placing it
  • Items taken out of the inventory near a wall should no longer spawn behind it and disappear
  • Fixed assembling the Michael bathroom shelf
  • Fixed a case where the carpet placement ghost could get permanently stuck to the player’s hand
  • Tiles placed without adhesive should no longer disappear on the next attempt

Graphics, Audio and UI

  • Fixed disappearing objects, tiles, and ceiling parts when entering or leaving the garage
  • Improved occlusion in the player’s house
  • A mirror hung in the church should no longer disappear after driving away
  • Fixed cases where tool sounds could continue playing when they shouldn’t
  • Removed the old logo appearing on loading screens during side quests
  • Fixed missing names and icons for some tiles and paintings

Other Fixes

  • Fixed incorrect buying and selling values in the pawn shop
  • Fixed the drunk effect remaining after starting a new game
  • Added more translation and localization fixes
  • Fixed several typos and incorrect text strings
