What to Expect - Story First! 📖

Before we dive into the most frequently asked questions, we really want to highlight what kind of game The Witch's Bakery is! While you will be spending time in the atelier baking delicious treats and serving in the bakery, the central heart of the game is its story, its characters, and Lunne and her friends' journey in Paris. The Witch's Bakery is a narrative-driven adventure that is much more reminiscent of visual novels.The gameplay is simple and approachable, designed to complement the narrative rather than challenge the player. We hope you’ll enjoy getting to know Lunne and her friends, and discovering their stories along the way!✨

What is the release date? (Digital & Physical)

Digital editions of The Witch's Bakery will launch on 14th October 2026!

If you're looking to pick up a physical copy, those will release just two days later on 16th October 2026.

What's the Release Time?

How long will the game be?

Depending on your playstyle and reading speed, a full playthrough takes around 20 to 25+ hours ^^

Does it have multiplayer or a co-op mode?

The Witch's Bakery is a purely single-player, story-focused experience.

How do I report bugs or issues after release? 🐛

If you encounter any bugs or issues during your play through Paris, please let us know by posting directly in the Steam Discussions. Before posting, please check to see if the issue has already been reported, this helps us track and fix things as quickly as possible. We’ll be working on fixes straight away and we would like to thank you for your patience - as a small team, we will do our best to release patches as soon as they are ready! ^^

Will the game have any romance options? 💖

While you can form deep, meaningful friendships with a wide cast of characters, only one can capture Lunne's heart! Depending on your narrative choices, you will be able to romance Estelle, whom you first meet in Chapter 2... but how your story together unfolds is for you to discover!

What platforms will the game release on?

You will be able to play The Witch's Bakery on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, XBOX, Nintendo Switch & Nintendo Switch 2 🎮

Will the game be available on Mac or mobile stores?

We're very happy to confirm that The Witch's Bakery will launch on iOS and Android mobile via Crunchyroll Game Vault! However, the release will come later than the launch on PC and Consoles this October. More details about the mobile launch date will come soon! ^^ Aside from our upcoming release on Crunchyroll Game Vault, we won't be able to launch a version on Mac. However, we'd love to bring the game to more platforms in the future if there's enough demand after initial launch!

How much will the game cost?

The Witch's Bakery will be available at £16.99 / $19.99 / €19.99. The launch discount for digital stores will be 10% across all platforms!

Will the game have adjusted regional pricing?

Yes, The Witch's Bakery will have regional pricing. We try to calculate this by analysing currency conversion, similarly priced games and platform suggestions. We also try to account for local economy and inflation. We know platform suggestions aren't always up to date, so for key territories, we will also work with local partners. We will try to keep pricing fair and realistic so we are as accessible to as many players as possible.

How many languages will the game be translated into?

You will be able to enjoy the game in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), and Simplified Chinese.

Where can I pre-order the physical versions of the game?

You can pre-order physical editions on PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2 (Game Key Card) through Silver Lining Direct or via your local retailers!📦

Do you use Generative AI in development?

No. The Witch's Bakery does not use any generative AI. The team at Sunny Lab is extremely proud to work with and support so many incredible human artists and creators to bring this world to life! 🎨❤️
