The Stickman V1.0 Detailed Patch Notes

1.0 Launch Content

  • Added 5 new levels in a brand-new world: Bungul.
  • Added 8 new Time Attack Shorts.
  • Introduced 4 new enemies and 4 new weapons.
  • Added a Golden Stickman skin for earning an S-Medal on every campaign level.
  • Added more hats, tombstones, and achievements

Time Attack & Leaderboards

  • Redesigned the leaderboard UI to include Shorts and accumulative leaderboards
  • Added a new "World Record" banner to each level which displays who holds the World Record
  • Added World Record animation to Time Attack so you know when you got a new World Record
  • Added medals to Time Attack and leaderboard UI
  • Time Attack now displays leaderboard times in single-player, and refreshes when you get a new PB
  • Removed player collision in Time Attack to prevent physics glitches and improve the competitive integrity
  • You can now change your Time Attack ghost directly from the pause menu
  • Starting a new mission from the finish screen now shows Time Attack level select instead of Campaign Level Select
  • Time Attack instantly resets your grenade and special abilities upon respawn
  • Time Attack now always has a one-second respawn
  • S-Medal times now exactly match the author's ghost finish time
  • Fixed various Time Attack bugs, including dereferencing after dying at the finish line, enemies taking damage before the timer starts, and incorrect host UI.

Level Editor & Creative Mode

  • Updated the Level Editor with new assets from Terkus and Bungul.
  • Added the Glider, Titam, movement modifiers, time travel crystals, time travel actors, and Terkus/Bungul assets to Creative Mode.
  • Improved the Level Editor gizmo with more accurate axis detection
  • Fixed an issue where Workshop maps would incorrectly launch into Race mode instead of Time Attack.

Customization & UI Improvements

  • Completely overhauled the Customization background
  • Added the ability to create custom crosshairs
  • Improved the "Draw Skin" tool by adding a brush outline for 2D/3D drawing, a Ctrl + Scroll shortcut to resize the brush, and stroke interpolation for smoother, continuous lines when drawing fast.
  • Added privacy options to hide custom skins from non-friends.
  • Added an option to hide hats entirely or limit them to friendlies in PvP.
  • Added visual toggles to highlight checkpoints and finish lines.
  • Added a "Competition" button to the main menu for quick access to community event info.
  • Updated the loadout information screen to center text with the weapon
  • Removed redundant armor damage stat from weapons.
  • Added clear green indicators and an "Enable Guided Grapple" feature in Fadoof to assist players with grapple routing.
  • Added medal time requirements and numbers to the level select screen.
  • Fixed various Customization bugs, including oversized weapons in the menu, color picker overrides, and skin re-upload issues.

Multiplayer & PvP

  • Shifted custom radial damage and new bullet damage to run client-side to ensure shots register reliably.
  • Spectator mode now properly locks onto players (including when riding Horsies or Titams) and no longer breaks when a player dies.
  • Adjusted the Hockey Puck to fix desync issues.
  • Fixed the Katana bug for PvP only.
  • Fixed broken timer displays and overlapping scoreboard text in PvP.
  • Fixed an issue where a disconnected player would remain stuck in the PvP level select screen.

Gameplay, Combat & AI

  • Improved the grapple hook with better edge detection and smoother visuals.
  • Added better detachment for moving objects. You're now launched toward the grappled object's trajectory if it moves while you're attached.
  • The Potato Cannon now has 4 shots and deals reduced damage.
  • The Minigun Eraser now fires projectiles instead of being hitscan.
  • Adjusted the Lawn Mower ultimate damage and fixed its visual brightness.
  • Flashbangs now inflict a longer daze the closer you are to the explosion, but Cover Erasers and metallic enemies are now immune to daze.
  • Restricted AI pathing to a perfect grid spawn system and maximum roaming distances to prevent enemies from clumping up.
  • When an AI eraser kills you, it gets highlighted while you’re spectating.
  • Grenades and special abilities are now given at the beginning of the level.
  • Fixed the anvil to always deal maximum damage regardless of distance.
  • Fixed an issue where players could grapple while flying.
  • Improved the overall climbing animations.

Environments, Polish & Bug Fixes

  • Adjusted Neila's overall purple environment by adding rock outlines.
  • Adjusted environments in Neila Hard to add hazard foliage and make the level feel less empty.
  • Hamburger plates now correctly darken only when the correct ingredient is matched.
  • Added hazard foliage to Fadoof and helpful lighting to the path in 12. The Big Climb.
  • Changed the menu music to feature base tracks from the game rather than a lo-fi track.
  • Created a new "Created by Simple Shark" launch screen.
  • Weapons are now properly hidden while ghosts are in flight, and weapon VFX no longer show up for ghosts.
  • Fixed performance issues caused by shot VFX not destroying properly.
  • Fixed pickups spawning at the enemy’s original spawn location instead of its death location.
  • Fixed various animation issues, including laggy crouching, stuck glider/jetpack legs in multiplayer, and broken clone ability body visuals.
  • Fixed a bug where the death/finish icons incorrectly applied the ghost material.
