We hear you: Patch 1 is coming very soon

Thank you for all your feedback 💚

It's been a few days since Dragon Shelter launched, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has played, left a review, joined our Discord or sent us a bug report. Seeing so many of you explore the world, adopt your first dragons and share your farms has meant a lot to our team.

We've also been reading every review and every message, and we want to be honest with you: we know Dragon Shelter has a number of issues right now. Many of you told us there's too much running around town, that progression can feel slow and grindy, that seasons and some mechanics aren't explained well enough, and that bugs sometimes get in the way. That feedback is fair, and we're taking it seriously. Our first patch is almost ready and focuses on the issues you've raised the most. We'll share the full changelog as soon as the patch is live.

💡 A few tips from your feedback

Some things were already in the game but clearly weren't explained well enough, and that's on us:

  • Tooltips: hover over any item with the mouse, or press RS on controller.
  • Moving buildings: you can demolish any building on your farm with the hammer and place it again, including your kitchen.
  • Running out of wood or other resources? The forest behind town always has them, and trees and other resources respawn there every 3 to 5 days.
  • Buying the wrong item with a controller? This is an issue with some controllers right now and we're working on a fix. For now, you can try fixing it through Steam Input.

🌱 And we're not stopping there

Patch 1 is just the first step. We're already working on more improvements after it, including key rebinding, better controller support, clearer icons, extra info about resources in the Journal and many more QoL improvements.

💬 Keep the feedback coming

If you run into a bug, the best place to report it is our Discord. It really helps us track things down faster.

Thank you for sticking with us, Dragon Keepers. This is just the start of Dragon Shelter's journey, and we're committed to making it the cozy, relaxing game it's meant to be. 🐉
