Fleeting Shores v1.0.2 Update: Save / Load in Port, Elena's Auto-Repair and More

Hello, Captains,

In the last update we said hiding the dialogue box and auto-repair when entering port would come later. Both are in this update, along with the feature many of you asked for most: manual save and load.

New

  • Manual save / load in port: In port, press Esc or click the Settings gear on the city screen and choose Save / Load. There are 8 save slots, and you can load them any time from Load Game on the title screen. Autosave works as before.
  • Continue shows where you left off: Continue on the title screen now tells you the date, port and gold of your last save before you jump back in.
  • Elena's auto-repair: A new toggle next to the Set Sail button. Turn it on and Elena repairs your ship every time you enter port. It appears from month 4 of your first run, and from the start in later runs. You'll be asked to confirm when turning it on or off.
  • Hide the dialogue box: During story scenes, click the eye icon or press H / right-click / RB to see the full CG. Press again to bring it back.
  • Settings button: A new gear button next to Set Sail opens the same menu as Esc, so you don't have to reach for the keyboard.

Bug Fixes

  • Fast clicking no longer charges you twice for ship repairs, ship upgrades or hiring an expedition team.
  • Fast clicking at the Exchange no longer buys or sells twice.
  • Double-clicking Go on the sea chart no longer adds extra sailing days, which could sink your ship.
  • Elena's affection can now reach its maximum. Affection from other sources used to crowd out what you earned from trading. That was our mistake, and we are sorry.
  • Companion skill unlock notices no longer pop up again after restarting the game.
  • The treasure carry-over screen before a new run is now fully translated, and a ? button next to its title explains how many treasures you can bring and what they do.
  • Added voice-over for several of Layla's common lines.

About Your Saves

Existing saves carry over, so there is no need to start again. Steam should update the game automatically; if it doesn't, restarting Steam usually does the trick.

Thank you to every captain who took the time to tell us what wasn't working. If you run into any problems, please post in the Steam Community and we will respond as soon as possible.
