Grim Trials - v1.0.20260829 Update Changelog

Hey there, Reapers!

Thank you so much for playing Grim Trials! We've been keeping up with all of your feedback, and this update aims to address some of the issues you've reported.

V1.0.20260829 Changelog

Trial Ground Adjustments

  • Boss Room Visual Cue: Added a clearer visual cue before entering a boss room, so players have a better idea of what they're about to encounter.
  • Movement Improvements: Reduced several obstacles that could unintentionally interrupt dashes and get the player stuck.

Enemy Attack Telegraphing

Adjusted melee attack telegraphing and behavior to make dodging feel fairer and more responsive, particularly addressing cases where attacks could feel like they were still tracking the player after they had already dodged.

Boss Balancing

Acedia: Rebalanced the summoned enemies during the encounter.

What's Next?

We're working on more substantial changes to strengthen Grim Trials as a roguelite and ensure hardcore players find the depth they're looking for.

Areas we're currently exploring:

  • Revamping the Axe to make it a more distinct and varied melee option.
  • Expanding the Blessing system with more content, synergies, and effects that have both stronger gameplay and visual impact.

These changes require more in-depth design exploration and planning before we head into development, so we'll share more details only once we have more to show you!

As always, thank you so much for playing Grim Trials and sharing your thoughts. Please feel free to drop by our Discord to chat with us directly, and we'll see you on the Trial Grounds!
