Devil Peach Soda is entering Early Access!
This is a little later than intended. About 3 years later. One of the caveats of being a solo developer -- I've had a couple health issues over these 3 years and each time it was followed by struggling to catch up on life.
But the game is in a good state for release, I'm extremely proud of what's there, and I think it's extremely good value for the price. Which brings me to... the price!
A base price of $14.99, for now
It will move up to a final price that is higher (likely $19.99) closer to the game's full release. When will that be? I don't know.
The game will be $9.99 whenever it's on sale
This includes the launch window discount, which lasts until the end of October 12th. If you buy the game now you're buying it at the cheapest price it will be for the foreseeable future.
This is hefty for a launch discount, so much so that Steam's guidelines recommend against it, but the goal is to not have somebody buy the game at launch and then see it on sale for a cheaper price. I personally don't like how unpredictable discounts for games feel in general -- this is a pretty limited solution to that though, the average person seeing the game won't know its pricing is consistent.
Some additional info:
- This applies to USD prices. The game uses Steam's automatic currency conversion system so it may fluctuate in other currencies based on that.
- When the base price goes up, the sale price will either stay the same or go up with it. Undecided.
- The discounted price will not go down further until one year after the game's full release. I don't know if it will actually go down after that, but that's the guarantee.
The actual logic for the $9.99 price tag is pretty simple: Nobody has any damn money these days and I think 10 bucks is about what the average person can easily justify. I haven't done much to advertise the game so far, so this approach is relying on the game being addictive + pretty cheap, which hopefully makes it an easy game for people to recommend to their friends and/or enemies.

Excited for the game to finally be in your hands, which I imagine are very powerful and currently gripping a 10 dollar bill you don't know what to do with. Devil Peach Soda launches in just under 7 hours.
