Pirate Week is back! After a long hiatus we wanted to use this as a way to introduce events into the new Town. Instead of having to get some plans, build a structure in a special place, remember to collect it and all that...now there's just a big old Pirate ship right outside Town. Every 3-ish hours a new crate will appear containing either a Pirate Crate or a Skeleton Key.

Speaking of "outside town", there's a lot out there to check out! We've tweaked and implemented Salvage in this version of AirMech. As you destroy enemies, you automatically collect their debris as you move near them. This additional resource will have uses in crafting soon--right now we are testing how much is earned so we aren't giving too little or too much. Help test it out, you can keep whatever overages you find!

But not enough things to collect Salvage from outside of Town? Well you haven't tried it then, because there's a new spawning system (very early, very alpha) to allow for as much grinding of Parts and Salvage as you have appetite for. Remember that when you are in queue, anyone on your team will join you out in the wasteland as your (not super intelligent yet) wingman.

While there is still not a global balance update, some key fixes were made for Striker's Afterburner also allowing Missiles to gain velocity. It was not intended to stack abilities, so the simplest solution was to just block other ability activation when Afterburner is on. We might even rework this further, making it less of a pure speed boost for normal flying, but a speed boost when transporting units. We'll see how this first change goes. Another good fix that went in was all the missing Part definitions were tracked down, so all those times you got a Part drop but it was invisible--good news, you have them, you've always had them. But now you'll be able to see them and interact with them.
