Poly Bridge 3 — Engine Upgrade & Fixes
We've just released an update for Poly Bridge 3. While most of it is under the hood, it's a big one: the game now runs on Unity 6, the latest version of the engine. This keeps PB3 on a modern, supported foundation and brings updated rendering internals along with it. You shouldn't notice anything different, just the same game on a healthier engine. This touches nearly every part of the game, so if anything looks off after the update, please let us know!
Improvements
- When moving a node, highlight edges in red that constrain node movement
- The gamepad cursor no longer shimmers along its edges while moving
- Performance optimizations
- Faster asset loading
Fixes
- Mute and Mute In Background now take effect immediately when toggled with a keyboard or gamepad (previously they only applied when clicked with the mouse or after closing the menu)
- Canceling the on-screen keyboard in Steam Big Picture / on Steam Deck no longer confirms the dialog with empty text
- Fix visual pop that occured when exiting to Main Menu with gamepad
- Cancel in-progress joint placement when opening Pause Menu with gamepad
- Fix dev (help) solutions for RB-01 (Preplanned) and VT-13 (Near Miss)
Thank you for playing and supporting Poly Bridge 3!
