One universe, two stories

Hey Gas Jockeys!

When we started working on Roadhouse Simulator, we knew we didn't want it to feel completely separate from Gas Station Simulator. After all, Roadhouse is a prequel. It takes place earlier in Uncle's life and gives us a chance to see characters, places and ideas that eventually lead into the world we already know from GSS.

But we also didn't want to simply recreate the same game in a different setting. Roadhouse has its own characters, its own problems and its own kind of chaos. At the same time, there are little connections everywhere, some obvious, like Uncle, and some you might only notice if you've played both games.

That's something we really enjoyed while developing it. We could take things players already knew from Gas Station Simulator and ask ourselves: “What was happening before this?” Sometimes the answer became part of Roadhouse. Sometimes it was just a small detail connecting the two worlds.

So while you can absolutely play Roadhouse Simulator on its own, we hope that players who know Gas Station Simulator will occasionally stop and think: “Wait... so that's where this came from!”

Because for us, these aren't two completely separate stories. This is a small part of the Drago Universe. That’s why Roadhouse is so important. Roadhouse tells you where some things started. Gas Station Simulator shows you where they eventually led. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
