Blocked by anti-cheat

Its anti-cheat (Easy Anti-Cheat) is not working on Linux for this game, so it won't run properly even where Proton otherwise could handle it. Easy Anti-Cheat runs on Linux in 144 other games Sifter tracks — so this is a per-game decision rather than a limit of the anti-cheat.

About this game

The developer's description, from the game's Steam store page.

Sparkball is a 4v4 adrenaline-packed ‘sports brawler’ where players select from a cast of lovably unique heroes and carefully balance both ballin' and brawlin' to score in the enemy team's goal!

Affectionately described as League of Legends meets Rocket League, Sparkball grips you immediately with its dopamine-inducing take on combat sports and keeps you coming back for more as you strive to master its surprisingly complex strategies.
