THE 13th Digit is a cyberpunk crime tragedy told through visual-novel style scenes. The player character is a contract killer, and the story depicts frequent stylized violence: gun combat, sniper assassinations, on-screen executions, blood, and character deaths. Criminal activity such as contract killing, organized crime, extortion and corporate/financial fraud is central to the plot and is portrayed critically rather than endorsed. The writing deals with dark themes including betrayal, revenge, exploitation of the poor, and human life being reduced to a monetary value. Dialogue contains profanity. The game does NOT contain: sexual content or nudity; sexual assault or non-consensual sex; BDSM; depictions of self-harm or suicide; or depictions of drug or alcohol abuse. (A derelict, abandoned drug lab appears as a background location, but no drug use is shown.) There is no real-world hate speech or discriminatory content, and no sexualized depiction of minors. Some artwork and imagery in this product was created with the assistance of generative AI tools. This demo covers the opening portion of the same story and contains the same types of content described above. The developer's note on the content, from Steam
