This is a role-playing game in which players assume the roles of heroes on a quest to rid the world of evil magic. From a ¾-overhead perspective, players traverse landscapes and engage in turn-based combat to kill humans and fantastical creatures (e.g., orcs, giant insects). Characters use swords, staffs, spears, and magic attacks to kill enemies. Combat is highlighted by frequent screams of pain, impact sounds, and large blood-splatter effects. You take on the role of a young Source Hunter: your job is to rid the world of those who use the foulest of magics. Embarking on what should have been a routine murder investigation, you find yourself in the middle of a plot that threatens to destroy the very fabric of time.
